People Helping People

DANVILLE -- It was an ice cream trip to remember for some people thanks to complete strangers. They're part of an organization called "People Helping People." As WCIA-3's Erica Quednau explains, the name says it all.

"You never know when we're going to show up. Never know what we're going to buy," said one of the volunteers.

And we're not going to tell you who they are. That's because everyone a part of the group, helps anonymously.

"We want people to catch that philosophy and be part of that culture," said the volunteer.

By paying for sweet treats, groceries, dinner, whatever is needed.

"It's priceless. You see those great big smiles and people are very, very happy.  Overjoyed," said the volunteer.

Even though the help is free, there is a suggested price.

"A lot of them tell us they're going to pay it forward," said the volunteer.

You can find out who's part of "People Helping People" next month. That's when they're holding a reveal party. They haven't revealed too much information yet but they will soon on their Facebook and website
