Rice named co-Big Ten Player of the Week

Illinois junior Rayvonte Rice was named co-Big Ten Player of the Week Monday. The Champaign native scored 28 points in Saturday's win over UIC.
CHAMPAIGN -- Illinois junior Rayvonte Rice was named co-Big Ten Player of the Week Monday, his second conference honor this season.  The Champaign native scored 28 points in the Illini's win over UIC Saturday.  He shares the award with Michigan State guard Keith Appling.  Rice is second in the Big Ten in scoring this season, averaging 18.2 points per game.
