Students in the state are smart!

SPRINGFIELD -- Students around the state are being recognized.
SPRINGFIELD -- Students around the state are being recognized. The State Board of Education says the graduating class of 2013 got a composite score of 20.6 on their ACT's. That's the second-highest score among the nine states testing their graduates.

School leaders say it's because of how well students prepare. The state's composite ACT score was just slightly lower than the national average at 20.9.
