Suspect search for burglar

SPRINGFIELD -- Three and counting. Police want to find a suspect before he rips off another tavern.

Police are investigating three break-ins from early August. Between August 3 - 7, Dudes Saloon on North 11th, Knuckleheads on Peoria Road and JW's Lounge on S. 6th were all hit between 2 and 4 in the morning.

Investigators say the suspect forced open doors to get inside, where he took money from coin-operated machines and bottles of alcohol. No word on how much money was taken.

Matt Goulet with Springfield Police says, "He also tried to get inside a couple of ATMs but was unsuccessful although he did damage them."

Investigators describe the suspect as a white man in his late 20's - 30's, thin, balding and about 5' 11". He was wearing baggy clothes and maybe a t-shirt.

Police are also investigating an attempted burglary which may be related.

SPRINGFIELD -- Police need help solving three actual and one attempted burglaries. They happened in the early morning hours between August 3 - 7 at Dudes Saloon, on North 11th, Knuckleheads, on Peoria Road, and JW's Lounge , on South 6th.

Several bottles of alcohol were taken and an undetermined amount of money was stolen from coin-operated machines. The suspect is a white man, 5'11", thin build, late 20's - 30's and balding.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
