One man has taken hundreds of babies under his wing.
And he is encouraging others to help with his cause.
They call him "the bluebird man".
From his bright blue car to the clock on the wall... 82 year old Loren Hughes is all things bluebird; the passion of his life..
Everyday he will make his rounds to check on the 276 bird boxes around the Paris area.
You never know what you are going to get in the boxes.
Some have un-hatched eggs and some a baby bird almost ready to take flight.
This past year 984 birds left the nest.
The trick is the bird house, the Kentucky slot box.
Hughes builds them himself.
His expertise in fledging the bird has gained him much recognition.
Something he says makes him very proud.
Just in case you were curious... Hughes says there's 75 songs about bluebirds.
