Tourist attractions included in shutdown

SPRINGFIELD -- The government shutdown could also change your travel plans.
SPRINGFIELD -- The government shutdown could also change your travel plans. All national parks are now closed.

It includes the Lincoln Home Site in Springfield. It's the only national park in the state. Rangers there are now on furlough.

It means you can't go in the visitor's center or on a tour inside Abraham Lincoln's home. Some tourists who showed up say they're making the best of it.

You can still walk the property, but some national parks in the rest of the country are gated off completely. If you're planning a trip to St. Louis, you won't be able to go up in the Arch.
