U of I Searches for Provost

URBANA-- The U of I has narrowed candidates for the Provost/Vice Chancellor for academic affairs  position down to three. All three will participate in public forums on the U of I campus starting next week.
URBANA-- The U of I has narrowed candidates for the Provost/Vice Chancellor for academic affairs position down to three. All three will participate in public forums on the U of I campus starting next week.
    Two of the candidates currently work for the university. Ruth Watkins is the dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Ilesanmi Adesida is dean of the College of Engineering. The third candidate, Adam Gamoran, is the director of the Wisconsin Center for Education Research.
    At the upcoming forums, faculty, staff and students will be able to hear from each candidate and ask them questions. Each forum will last about an hour.
    Gamoran's forum will be at 1:30 P.M. on March 29 in the Knight Auditorium of Spurlock Museum. Watkins' forum will be at 1:30 P.M. on April 3 in the Deloitte Auditorium of the Business Instructional Facility. And Adesida's forum will be at 1:30 P.M. on April 5 in the Knight Auditorium of Spurlock Museum.
