CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- A former UI football player and coach was in court Monday. Matt Sinclair was arrested in November after motorists say he pointed a gun at another car.

Sinclair's attorney says arguments for each side were heard, but the judge could take a couple months to make a decision. The defense argues, since gun laws in Illinois were considered unconstitutional, Sinclair's gun charges should be dropped.

Sinclair resigned from his position on the UI staff shortly after his arrest.
