VILLA GROVE -- Friday Football Fever begins in just a couple of days, and our first Spotlight Game of the year will be Villa Grove-Heritage hosting Westville in a matchup of conference title contenders.

Villa Grove-Heritage is a brand new coop this fall.  The Blue Devils have about a dozen more kids out for football this year, so the coop helps their numbers, and it should help their quality of play.

"We've got a new co-op, so we've got a lot of new kids," said head coach Chad Musselman.  "All of these pieces that have been around since sophomores, I'm leaning on them pretty hard to get everybody pointed in the right direction."

So far they say the new coop has been a smooth transition.

"[Heritage] is only 15 minutes away from us, and we pretty much know the guys pretty well," senior Terrion Price said.  "I'm related to some of them, so it's actually pretty nice.  I wasn't really concerned about it at all."

Villa Grove-Heritage will host Westville at 7:00 pm Friday night.
