War hero being remembered

RANTOUL -- The community is remembering a World War II veteran who died Monday.
RANTOUL -- The community is remembering a World War II veteran who died Monday. Tony Bilek was 94-years old. He served in the Air Force for 20-years.

He was captured by the Japanese and spent 3-1/2 years in a prison camp. Bilek used his knowledge and experiences to open the Prisoners of War section at the Chanute Air Museum.

Bilek wrote a book about his experience in the Philippines. It's called No Uncle Sam: The Forgotten of Bataan. You can find it on Amazon.com.
