This Day In Weather History1885 - A tornado moved through Pick and Brown Counties of west central Illinois. Two homes lost their roofs at Versailles and another on the southern edge of New Salem. A second tornado took an intermittent path from south of Canton, in Fulton County over to Alta in Peoria County. Barns were lost and debris was scattered over many miles.
