Weather Almanac For 9/20
1986 - Central Illinois had flash flooding, mostly from Peoria and eastward to Bloomington. The flooding was caused by rainfall of 3 to 7 inches. Bloomington reported 7.12 inche of rain between midnight and 4 am, causing significant flooding.
1991 - Peoria had its earliest freeze on record. The normal freeze isn't until October 17th. This freeze also occurred during the astronomical summer, the only time it has happened.
