This Day In Weather History2005 - Bureau County was hit hard by hail when a single supercell developed. Baseball sized hail was reported and a car dealership in Princeton had 400 of its 500 cars damaged by the storm. The storm developed when an outflow boundary swung through northwest Illinois in a moist to near tropical atmosphere.
