Slow Cooker Turkey and Dressing

Via my friend Karen Moon Via Dorothy Buerkle

2 6 oz. boxes stuffing mix
1 cup water, or apple juice or chicken stock
2-3 Tbsp butter softened
1 onion chopped
1 cup celery chopped
½ cup sweetened dried cranberries, Craisins, or dried cherries
3 lb boneless Turkey breast
¼ tsp dried basil
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
(You can also use an herb and garlic or a poultry seasoning of your choice)

Spread dry stuffing mix in greased slow cooker
Add liquid, butter, onion, celery, and berries. Mix well.
Sprinkle turkey breast with seasonings. Place over stuffing mixture.
Cover. Cook on low hear 5-6 hours or until turkey is done but not dry.
Remove turkey slice and set aside.
Gently stir stuffing and allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Place stuffing on platter and top with turkey.
You could at this time also have a turkey gravy and drizzle over the top of the turkey.
