URBANA -- This Hometown Hero uses his heart and his hands to make other people's lives a little more fun.
ATWOOD -- World War II vets are becoming harder to find.
TILTON -- Our Town is a close-knit community. but everyone seems to know this Hometown Hero.
STEWARDSON -- Usually our Hometown Heroes have served in the military.
RANTOUL -- Our Town is rich with history.
CHAMPAIGN -- He lost his sight while fighting overseas, but that's not stopping this Hometown Hero from reaching high ground, and even the big screen.
PETERSBURG -- Two men in Our Town make sure those who've served feel right at home.
PAXTON -- He was driving through another town and got an idea to impact Our Town forever.
ST. JOSEPH -- When you're driving into Our Town, Main Street is filled with signs honoring men and women from the area who are serving our country.
ST. JOSEPH -- There's not much this veteran hasn't done.
DANVILLE -- Even though he didn't graduate high school, you could never call this student a dropout.
GEORGETOWN -- A kindergarten class at Pinecrest Elementary got to meet the soldier they've been sending cards and care packages to since the beginning of the year.
PAXTON -- It's the kind of surprise any mother wants.
DANVILLE -- He escaped from a German prison more than 60-years ago, but nowadays this veteran is using his story to motivate others.
