Snow, Sleet, & Ice This Weekend

While Friday's chance of snow will hang out mainly in our northern counties, there is another system following closely behind for the weekend that looks to bring snow to most of Central Illinois.

While amounts are not completely certain, it does at least appear as of now that a few inches cannot be ruled out for a swath of the area.  There was also the chance that some rain/freezing rain/sleet may be mixing in during the later part of the day Saturday and into the nighttime hours.  So while how much snow we receive will need to wait with more updates, we are confident in the fact some will see some freezing rain nearer to I-70 too.

The timing of this will be a little tricky too, with a weak wave moving through early Saturday morning, but the better chances will be late Saturday into early Sunday.
