This Day In Weather History1971 - One person was killed and another 20 injured when a tornado moved through Thompsonville. 8 homes, 3 commercial buildings, and 5 trailers were also destroyed.
1984 - One person was killed when a strong tornado touched down 8 miles southwest of Plainfield. 43 homes were damaged, 14 of which were destroyed. Large wooden beams were driven into nearby homes. The tornado lifted just southeast of town.
