This Day In Weather History

1967 - A two-day snowstorm dropped 10 inches or more of snow in Illinois and dropped heavy snow across much of the nation's midsection.  The heaviest snow was north of a Quincy to Bloomington line, while major ice accumulations was noted elsewhere across central Illinois.  The Chicago area had up to 20 inches of snow.  Travel was crippled for a few days.  Over 50 deaths were indirectly related the storm.
