This Day In Weather History2000 - Thunderstorms brought strong winds to northwest Illinois during the early morning hours, but the biggest problem was the heavy rains that led to flash flooding. La Salle, De Kalb, Kendall, and Kankakee Counties all had flash flooding reports. In downtown Kankakee, flooding ripped off 50 feet of pavement.
