The biggest tornado for the state of Illinois hit Washington as an EF-4 tornado as it moved northeast. It originally touched down 2.4 miles southeast of East Peoria. At its peak, it was an EF-4 with winds at 190 mph and was a half mile wide. One person did die in Washington, and 125 were injured from this tornado. The tornado was on the ground for 46.2 miles. It only spent a few miles in WCIA's viewing area (Livingston County) as an EF-2 tornado and lifted near Long Point.
