On this date, over $4 million worth of damage was done to east-central Illinois.  The storms formed over Champaign County and moved over Vermilion county in a 150 minute time frame.  Most of the damage was in Jamaica and Georgetown.  In fact, Georgetown had baseball sized hail that hit the town twice in an hour.

A green house, thousands of cars, and hundreds of homes and businesses all sustained damage.

A school in Jamaica sustained around $300,000 worth of damage. In Pesotum, hail damaged eleven Illinois State Patrol cars, totaling $24,000.  Thankfully despite all this damage no injuries were reported.
