ILLINOIS (WCIA) -- A mental health treatment organization is expanding its services. Rosecrance is expected to merge with Iowa-based Jackson Recovery Centers, before July 1, 2019.
The goal is to reach even more people across the Midwest. In all, with this merger, Rosecrance will be operating 60 locations in the Midwest.
The group's goal is to be a comprehensive, integrated behavioral health system for treating mental health and substance abuse issues.
Since the two go hand-in-hand, Rosecrance says the integrated approach brings the most benefit. For example, one service provided is residential treatment for both teenagers and adults.
It comes just after Rosecrance announced a merger with the Prairie Center in December and one with Community Elements in 2016.
